Chad Fisher began his career playing the trombone in the rich soul, blues, and jazz scenes of Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, and Mississippi. Early on this led to performing regionally and nationally with soul legends The Temptations, Four Tops, The O’Jays, legendary Alabama musicians The Swampers of Muscle Shoals, and many others. 

In 2015 Chad joined Birmingham’s own St. Paul and The Broken Bones and has since toured the nation and the world, contributing to four studio albums, and performing on NBC, CBS, ABC, PBS, MTV, and TBS in features on The Late Show, Conan O’Brien, and Austin City Limits. In addition the band has performed with Elton John and opened concerts for The Rolling Stones. 

Chad can be heard providing horns for songwriter Jason Isbell's record Live in Alabama and appeared in concert with Isbell on Live at Lincoln Center on PBS.

His own band includes some of the top musicians on the Alabama music scene today, regularly wowing audiences throughout the state and the south playing legendary venues like Tipitina’s and Snug Harbor in New Orleans. In 2012 the band performed a sold out concert at The Lyric Theater in Birmingham. The first live music performance there in over half a century.
